So, I have a Logitech Extreme 3D pro, and a Saitek Cyborg X. Both of them are several years old, and have different problems. I've had the Logitech for years, and I absolutely adore it's feel. I've had problems with it's Z-twist axis, but I can fix that temporarily by calibrating it. More recently, I've noticed that it's X and Y axis's jitter around a lot, eventually settling down at 2% X and 14% Y. I've tried messing with the deadzones, and I've gotten it to be stable at rest, but it's impossible to aim with.

I acquired the Saitek recently from a friend who said it was broken. It works pretty well, except for one thing. The Z-twist axis runs wild. It eventually settles down, but if I move it the wrong way, I suddenly have to deal with 100% Right yaw. When I test it in the calibration menu, It also doesn't reach 100% Z-twist when I try to manually.

I've updated all the drivers as well as I can, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I've done some research, And I think the Saitek's problem is fairly common, but I didn't find anything on the Logitech's problem. My next step is to take them apart and clean them, but I'd rather not do that for fear of messing something up, and because I don't know if that will fix it. Is there anything I can do besides taking them apart or buying a new joystick or two?
