There needs to be an option to set 0 throttle at dead center instead of all the way down.
A joystick as a throttle is a very nice option and I can imagine piloting a salvage ship and requiring finite control where I can reverse throttle with ease.
If reverse throttle is not an option on a ship, you should still be able to use 'back throttle' as reverse thrust or straff back. Maybe even space brakes.
