Hi! My name's Caesar. I think the best way to introduce myself is by saying why I'm here.
I've just recently invested in my Star Citizen bundle but I've been following this game for quite a while now.
My decision to support SC was simple - I believe the team with the man who brought us the Wing Commander series at the helm can bring us the game we've been waiting for - a space sim worthy of the name - a game of total immersion that does things no games have done before.
Why am I sitting comfortably on the hype train? Well, let me tell you a short story. I played Wing Commander 3 long before I learned how to speak English. I loved the interactive video sequences even though I had little idea of what was going on. It helped me realise that in order to fully appreciate them I had to grab a dictionary and pay attention at school. Now, twenty years later, I'm a graduate of English studies and make a living giving private English lessons.
It might sound childish, but I hope Star Citizen becomes my new Wing Commander 3 - a game that, entertainment value aside, might teach me something or push me into directions both exciting and unexpected.
With that said - Hello!
I know it's going to be a long time before the game is complete but I've been thinking about joining a European organisation that's relatively active and welcoming. Would you be so kind as to recommend something?
