Hey guys! So I was browsing the brochure for the exploration focused ship, the Constellation Aquila. I hadn't realised before that the ship comes with its own 6 wheel Ursa Rover for exploring the barren newly discovered planets that you may come across; This got me to thinking, have we had any information regarding the size and detail of the surfaces of undiscovered planets?

I understand that a procedurally generated planetary surface is being viewed as a post launch option, if at all. So exactly how big will the explorable areas be exactly? Obviously big enough to the point where a specialised rover is needed to sufficiently explore a planet’s surface, but how about detail? Will I and my crew be able to partake in cave spelunking looking for lost treasures? Find and explore an alien temple?
If any of you guys have any other ideas I’d love to hear them! Being an explorer is my goal, once I have acquired the funds to purchase a suitable ship for such a purpose, but I feel that apart from discovering and navigating jump points not much else has been said recently about other planet side ventures me and my crew will be able to find ourselves in once we’ve discovered and successfully landed on the scared surface of a new planet….

Any feedback or ideas would be welcome, I’d love to hear your guy’s ideas and thoughts towards this career pathway.

Thanks Citizens!
