Before 1.0, I could get my joystick and assigned binds to work most of the time, though I would have to delete my user file seemingly every other time I loaded the game up. Now, I can't get it to work consistently. I have a thrustmaster T. flight HOTAS.

Most of the time, I can't get a missile to lock/fire at all. I have had a few sessions where it worked perfectly, and for no explanation others where it doesn't do a damn thing despite triple checking that it is bound to the default button. It doesn't work with the mouse either. Also, I have games where the boost doesn't work. It makes the sound, but it exerts no force in both coupled and uncoupled modes. I've had games in earlier versions where I just stayed uncoupled and only used the boost. No more. I just drift, making "vroom" sounds while looking sideways as I plow into a rock (this one occurs with keyboard as well). I've tried rebinding my keys. I've tried reinstalling. I've tried deleting my user file. I've tried combinations of these. It is so frustrating because I would like to get used to flying in this game,but I can't get past various features refusing to work.
Help me. I am pathetic and quivering.
