Running an i7-4790k + GTX 970 4GB, both at stock settings, and I'm getting unacceptable framerates at "very high" settings @ 1080p. Turning off DSR helped a good bit, but it's still not what I expect it to be. I consider 60+ acceptable, perhaps even in the 50's for some games, but I'm getting dips into the 40's with Very High, and to me that's just not going to work.

Running at High with DSR off gives me 60+ at almost all times in the Hangar, though it occasionally drops into the upper 50's.

Whenever I discuss this game, and computer hardware, both with friends and members on this forum, I always include "this game is far from optimized, both on the graphics company's side and on RSI's side." But I'm questioning now how accurate this statement is, especially when you take into consideration the following:

1) The game has been out for a while now in Hangar mode and has, apparently (I only just recently started playing it myself), gone through a lot of performance improvements.

2) Although we have access to "Very High" settings, I've heard that there also exists an "Ultra" setting for this game that the devs have yet to give players access to.

3) The game is a MMO. Period. And the experiences we've had access to thus far do not have MMO-esque demanding features yet. This will obviously come with the Persistent Universe. When you take this into consideration, having 200 High graphics frigates and hundreds of players running around a given room, there's gonna be a HUGE performance drop. As you'd expect from any MMO.

Any opinions on this subject?
