Scenario One:

You got Windows update KB3004394 and after Omega CCC 14.12, you have no graphic driver 14.50 and get the error message "No ATI graphics drivers found, blah, blah":

(from AMD)

It would appear that the issue was actually caused by a Microsoft Windows update that incorrectly marked the AMD drivers as ‘unsigned’ and thereby prevented the drivers from being properly installed. The Windows Update in question was KB3004394 which was pushed the same day that the AMD Catalyst Omega driver was released.

We have worked closely with Microsoft who have temporarily removed this update while they investigate the issue. You can find more information on this Windows Update at the following link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3004394

In order to resolve this issue, you will need to uninstall this Windows Update by following the directions at the link above.

Once you have uninstalled the update, you will need to do the following :

· Reboot your system

· Uninstall the remnants of the Catalyst Omega installation using the Add/Remove Program option in the Control Center

* Note from Third: I recommend also running DDU as per HERE in Safe Mode

· Reboot your system

· Install the Catalyst Omega driver package appropriate for your Operating System

· Reboot your system
-------------------------------------------

Scenario Two:

You are currently updated (Windows has since backed out KB3004394 in it's latest update).

You should be able to install Omega with no problem:

· Reboot your system

· Uninstall the remnants of the Catalyst Omega installation using the Add/Remove Program option in the Control Center

* Note from Third: I recommend also running DDU as per HERE in Safe Mode

· Reboot your system

· Install the Catalyst Omega driver package appropriate for your Operating System

· Reboot your system

-------------------------------------------

*This likely won't effect people with standard resolution displays (1920 x 1200 is out there, but not entirely common but seemed to be what Omega didn't like).

Where I ran into issues was after this point. My monitors are 1920 x 1200. Creating an Eyefinity group was forcing the resolution (that you can't change once it glitches) to 5700 x 1320. Much of the desktop is missing vertically (the menu bar, for example). Any Ctrl+Alt+Del leads to "black screens" and your systems is technically non-responsive). You may also notice that the CCC GUI is "pulsing" indicating something is at issue. Both CCC 14.12 and the video drivers 14.50 show correctly installed and the issue only appears once an Eyefinity group is created. Most of the features (bezel correction, etc) will not appear and there is little you can do to complete the setup properly.

My workaround:

Since a single display was working fine, the issue was clearly with Eyefinity. I tinkered with "Windows Key +P" and tried changing from "Computer" to "Duplicate" and"Extend" just to observe the results. That seemed to allow me to maintain the 1920 x 1200 in some rather odd configurations, but it looked promising.

So I created a 1-2 Eyefinity group using only two monitors. It properly detected my 1920 x 1200 displays. CCC stopped "pulsing" and the missing settings appeared within CCC. I then went back into the Eyefinity group properties and changed it to 1-3. It took some trial and error and tinkering to get the screens into the proper order, but once they were everything worked properly (the CCC stopped "pulsing", the remaining settings like bezel correction, etc became visible).

Mine could have been a unique case, but if anyone else is having issues (especially with 1920 x 1200 displays in Eyefinity) hopefully this might be of some use.
