I like the Saitek X-55, but I am worried that the mouse nub is not very good on the throttle.
It occurs to me that the ultimate setup could be the X-55 (or really any joystick of your choice, but I like the stick twist) PLUS the CH Pro Throttle which has the best mouse nub on any throttle.
I think that the CH nub could be used to aim gimbled guns (it functions as a mouse) while you steer the ship with the stick plus pedals.
Update: I just realized a Trackball could have the same functionality. You could basically place the trackball between the HOTAS and the Joystick and take your hand off the HOTAS when you need to aim.
What do you all think?
