I tried searching the forums to find out if shutting down engines etc. will help you avoid scanners and detection. I saw a short video on youtube were a pilot did this to avoid an enemy fleet.. can't remember the video though. I'll be flying a Freelancer DUR with long ranger sensors for exploration and thought this would work out awesome if I detected any threats I couldn't handle before they saw me on sensors. Anyone have any info on this tactic?
