Hello. For a while now I've been looking at building a new desktop so I wouldn't have to buy overpriced pre-built computers (curse you, Lenovo and Dell). Two days ago I asked a friend to help me design my desktop, and happily we've picked out some good things. This is the first desktop I've ever looked at building. I lack an accurate budget, but I decided to ballpark the price around 1,500 USD (which it comes out to be when I take out the liquid cooling option). I figure with Christmas approaching, I can request some of the parts from relatives. The trick is knowing when the deals are coming.

I hear that Black Friday comes with some good deals on Newegg with solid state drives and monitors and the sort. That'll give me enough time to shop around for the best deals and parts. Here is what we came up with:
