I'm not a subscriber so couldn't submit this to TFTC so hopefully this is a question one of you can answer for me? With regard to naming your ships, and having read related discussions, backers including myself are going to choose names inspired by books/tv shows/films... I don't know about you but I'm a big Iain M. Banks fan, and throughout the culture novels he wrote there are an abundance of ship names ripe for the picking. However the names are usually quite long and I wondered if there will be a cap on the amount of letters/symbols we'll be able to use when and if we come to name our ships?
