Hello everyone, this is my first post, although i've been lurking around here for some months now.

So i have browsed the FAQ's and did some forum searches and although I was able to find a lot of good information, i wasnt able to find the answers I needed before I pledge to this game.

Is this game like other MMO's where you do missions/quest and end game content where you are able to upgrade parts of your ship? ie weapons, shields, thrusters/engines...etc? Can you customize your ship? Like I mean have different armour than someone else that has the same ship as you, or have different types of weapons?

I've never played EVE and briefly played Star Trek Online, which I enjoyed a lot, but I am looking for a new MMO that will enable me to do what I want, when I want, and Im not stuck to the same ship with the same design and layout.

Are there armour vulnerabilities to certain weapons? or weapon immunity's with certain armour?
