I want to build a secondary PC with some of the bits I have laying around taking up space. I already have a high-end gaming PC so this one will be purely for day-to-day tasks. I'm actually thinking I might put Linux so I can get to know the OS a little better. I'll put steam on it and play some indie games but nothing demanding as I have a mediocre GPU laying around.

What do you think about this initial mockup? I chose Z97 even though it's a little more expensive to give it the best upgrade path if I ever feel the need to. Also thought about the AMD route but I thought this CPU might be fun to overclock.
