Ok, so I've seen plenty of posts on these forums asking for upgrade advice, and just as many other posts stating that we should hold off on upgrading at the moment If we can.

So my question right now is, when do you all think would be the best time to upgrade a PC.
Now my current RIG is adequate, it has a i7 2600k; GTX680: 16GB of 1600 ram and can run SC anywhere between 20 - 60 FPS depending on map on very high.

I'm eyeballing the X99 platform and I'm thinking of going tri SLI/CF and plan on running 3 monitors in ether 5760x1080 or 5760x1200.
Should I upgrade soonish "closer to Christmas" or should I hold off on buying now, If I am to wait how long would you all recommend that I wait for?

Should I hold off till Broadwell E comes out near the end of next year or should I go for the current Haswell E.
