The default Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS configuration is really wonky... e.g. countermeasures on the TMS (Target Management Switch)?! I've been working on creating a more realistic configuration that uses the controls as the gods intended wherever possible. I'm open to suggestions for improvement.
UPDATE June 29, 2014: Assigned attack groups to trigger and weapons release button.
UPDATE June 21, 2014: I've made some updates based on feedback and a little more use.
* Strafe up, down, left, and right are on the Trim Switch on the stick instead of the Coolie Switch on the throttle.
* Strafe back has been added to Right Engine Idle/Off.
* View up, down, left, and right are on the Coolie Switch. I think there's a bug in SC because this usually doesn't work, but sometimes does.
* Shield increase forward, shield increase aft, and shield reset have been added to the Counter Measures switch, which seems appropriate since shields are kind of like a type of countermeasure.
* Radar cycle zoom forward and radar cycle zoom back were added to the Data Management Switch.
Without further ado...
I've got yaw working with my pedals.
I'm probably going to move the lighting controls off of the pinky switch since SC only supports toggling modes rather than tri-state (solid, off, flashing). Once TrackIR is supported I'm going to remove view control from the Coolie Switch.
