Hi all! I've been lurking for a while now and just recently made an account. So much to read and learn but I think I have a good grasp on it all.

I plan on buying my first ship soon but still need to decide on what to buy. I want two ships to start, one for exploring, the other for smuggling. I'm hoping I can become an explorer that dabbles in the black markets. That is if I can keep it on the down-low.

My 11 year old son want to play as well and has his heart set on being a space trucker. Freelancer MAX for him!

Anyway, a bit about myself. I'm a long time space sim fan. Played Wing Commander, Freespace, Tie Fighter, Bridge Commander and many more. I miss the genre and have high hopes for SC. I'm a family man so I probably won't be able to play more than 8 hours per week so I'm glad Chris Roberts has made it a point to create a game that caters to us "old spacers". I live in NC, USA and tend to play games in the evenings and weekends. I get notifications in my email so if you message me, give me a few hours and I will respond. Not looking to join a Organization right now but maybe in the future, if I see a benefit to it. Just looking freelance for now.

I'll update this post when I create an in-game handle which should happen next month.
