Star Citizen. I was a few days shy of backing the game on Kickstarter otherwise none of this would've been typed. I found out 3 days late and have been keeping tabs on development ever since. I haven't pledged yet but I've got itchy fingers and for once the financial means of doing so. But I do have a few questions which I hope can get some answers. I realise some of these might be better suited elsewhere but these are my newbie thingies I've like to get sorted before deciding to pledge.

My current system ranks somewhere along the Mainstream recommendations as done by CynicalCyanide here. What sort of settings/FPS will that get me? The question arises out of experiences that "minimum" and "recommended" do not always offer an experience that is acceptable (in my opinion). In other words, I am trying to get a feel for what my system will do for me in this game.

Secondly, I've seen videos stating all control options are viable. A Joystick or HOTAS setup isn't on the table for the moment (literally, real estate issues, small home and a likewise small desk) so are mouse/keyboard or Xbox 360 controller still viable controllers?

Just two thingies that have withheld me from pledging. I'd really appreciate input.

Other than that: pleased to be here. Been reading and watching vids for the last 2 hours and still don't feel like I've made a dent in the available information. Epic stuff :)
