Searching For Nostromo

Can this work? Instead of buying a dedicated flight sim setup, can I combine say a Logitech joystick for roll/pitch/yaw control with a Razer Nostromo keypad for throttle control.newegg.com/Product/Pro[..] Load

I've read that using a joystick and a Razer Nostromo (or equivalent) does not work properly because the razer cancels out the joystick.And sure enough when I loaded AC with them both plugged in my X52[..] Load
