you may not have your gtx 870m setup to start with the game you may be on the standard graphics card. I had same problem with mine and I had someone walk me through setting it up so my 860 would start[..] Load

What I noticed in the current version of AC is that it does not pull the ship you got into through to the launch screen. You still need to select which ship to fly on that screen. It is defaulting to [..] Load
