Given that the Voyager Direct store has no statistics at all, how are you supposed to gauge the effectiveness of any given shield?

For example, the Mustang Alpha comes with a INK-1 shield. If you upgraded to an INK-SPLASH 404-IS it would clearly be better against missiles, but would it (bearing in mind it is a Class 2 shield) by better, the same or worse then the INK-1 against lasers?

Has anyone found any stats to export to look at? There is no way I would buy anything without having a clue about it's effectiveness.
