Hey everyone,
I'm putting my Star Citizen Rig together and ran into a problem. I'm short USB headers on my motherboard. As the photo shows there is one fully filled pin connector and one half filled connector. My Kraken x61 uses a half filled pin connector as well. Can I combine both the half filled connectors? If I can do this, do I just follow the same color code left to right using the four pins above the others? It would be great if I could get some help soon! My curiosity to ask is because the usb header connector on the left goes to two separate usb ports the top four pins on the connector go to the first usb on the case and the bottom row of pins go to the second usb port on the case. The usb header on the right connects to the card reader on the side of the case. It leads me to believe that though there's one connector two usb ports can be wired into the connector. Worst case scenerio is that the card reader doesn't get plugged in.
