First off I'm glad to be here! Seems like a great community and I've been reading the forum for a while and I've decided to signup to ask a few questions!

I'm having a few reservations in pledging and getting a ship. I really like the idea of being able to explore new worlds, and trade merchandise between planets. My main goal in the PU world will be to either captain a ship to explore the universe and discover new things, or transport people and cargo from planet to planet. If I were to pledge which ship/s would be ideal for this? It seems to me I will have to start small and get something that might only be able to carry cargo at first and then move into a ship that is more capable of transporting people. If I am transporting people between planets will other players be able to use my transport ship or only NPC's?

From everything I've read and watched I can tell this will be a game worth my time IF it's completed and that is where my biggest problem lies. Personally it's hard to justify spending money on a game that's not complete, and that does have the possibility(even if it's small) of not being completed. On the other hand if I wait for the game to be released I probably wouldn't be able to play until late 2016/2017(from what I've been hearing?). If not longer considering the Arena Commander delay and it seems the PU module has been delayed too. That's a pretty long *** time to wait. Being a game developer myself I honestly don't mind most bugs, and I would really like to participate in the beta to help make the game better.

Basically I would love to play star citizen's PU as described by Chris Roberts and his team, but I want to hear from the community what are the pros and cons to waiting for the game vs buying a pledge ship right now.

Thanks,
