I thought I read somewhere that buying a 2nd game package would give you some perks, such as having a permanent NPC Crew at no additional (in-game) cost. Is this true?

Are there any other advantages to buying a second game package vs just buying a 2nd ship?

I've got my Aurora-MR, and uh, well I wasn't planning on spending more money before the release, but damn the Hornet and especially the Freelancer are really starting to grow on me. The Freelancer especially, since it has 2 (or 3, depending on model) crew spots, it'd be nice to have a permanent NPC as crew.
