I offer my apologies if this is the wrong section, but after receiving advice to post in the Ask A Dev area of the forum, and giving it a shot, my question still remains unanswered. So I have come back to the Community in hopes someone can help in anyway possible. I posted this question in the AAD and waited, and waited and waited. I tried other sections of the AAD but a lot of the Dev threads haven't seen much activity in terms of answering questions. I don't know if this post will finally capture their attention or if one of the mods knows anything about it or what, but I just really want an answer.

Anyway, alot of questions have been raised about the AA in game and currently right now about how the hangar looks. I realize Star Citizen is still in its pre-alpha stage and that some people think that there are a lot of more pressing matters to worry about. I get that. I know most have said there will be AA in game (There wouldn't be any reason not to include it), but currently, my hangar is a pixelated, light jaggedy line filled mess. If I go to the other side of the hangar, I can't tell whether that's my ship or if it is just a wall. When ever I am in first person, the lines go everywhere. When I'm in third person its a bit calmer, but still a problem. When I am stationary, the white lines move by themselves and when I move my character, the jaggedy lines somewhat disappear with a more smooth look to them (which is what I want), but when I stop moving, they come back. The Nvidea control panel settings don't seem to transition to the game. And I've tried pretty much every console command that I've found, and it makes no difference. The AC module seems to be less pixelated, but around asteroids and the like, it still needs work IMHO.

Again, I do understand that it is in pre-alpha, but when I am considering pledging upwards of $300, I want confirmation and I want a first hand look at what I should be expecting in terms of graphics and what I need to do in order to get those graphics. I love everything about the game so far. The way CIG includes the community, the plans for the PU, the potential is truly limitless. I do have some concerns as does everyone, but at the top of that list is what should I be expecting in terms of what I will be looking at for hours on end? Will it be worth it? Will this issue be fixed? Is the issue a lot of us are seeing even an AA problem in the first place or just the coding in the game (sorry if that is a stupid question), in which CIG needs to fix? And if and when it does, what will it look like? Will adding more graphics tweaking options to the in-game settings menu such as AA allow us to get rid of this annoyance or will it have to be CIG who fixes it? Currently, I don't have much knowledge on the process or steps that are needed to make a game such as this (as you can probably tell), but even if it is in pre-alpha, shouldn't the hangar module of all things have much smoother edges and an all around better visual appeal, instead of the mess it is now? I realize these are difficult if not impossible questions to answer at this point, but please bear with me.

I know that many say this game looks/will look stunning and I can see that (behind the pixelation and lines), but will I need 4k to do so? Why are some of the hangars in videos I keep seeing on sites like youtube etc looking much better than mine? Is that just the rendering? Its not like its my system (as far as I can tell) limiting performance or quality. I have a 780TI, a 4790k being AIO water cooled, 16gb of memory (may upgrade) etc etc etc. I am running 1080p at the moment but that shouldn't make it look that bad. Does un-optimization really take that much of a tole? And it may just be that I am bothered more by it, but can someone give me a base example of how it will look? Any recent news on the matter? I'm really excited about this game. If you can, please give me something, anything at all, that will answer my questions and confirm what I want to know so I can pledge some more and do my part in helping make this game truly great.

Sorry for the rant like question and thank you for taking the time to read it.
