Hello fellow drifters, I am getting a new laptop for Christmas and I want one that can run Arena Commander and hopefully, SQ42. Now, I have read other computer requirement threads and while they are useful, they use a lot of tech jargon I am unfamiliar with. The gist seems to be that you need a gaming rig built from the ground up to play SC well. I understand that and will get one in the future but I need a a laptop now for college.

My question then becomes is there an off the shelf laptop for less than 1000 dollars that can run Arena Commander smoothly even if its at the lowest graphic setting? I appreciate any assistance the community may be able to provide.
