Hey everyone,

I'm completely new to space sims entirely. I wasn't even out of the womb when the first Wing Commander was released and only five when the last one was. EVE did pique my curiosity but watching how automated the gameplay seemed in videos made me lose interest.

Sci-fi has been one of my favourite genres since high school so I've been dying for a game where I can both fly a starship and be immersed in a living and unique universe. What convinced me to back Star Citizen was actually the ship commercials. The first video I saw for the game was the M50 commercial. At first I thought this was just a really cool racing game, until I clicked on the Constellation commercial. From there I dove into the depths of CIG's numerous youtube videos, starting with every ship commercial, getting more and more hyped for the game.

So here I am! I've only flown the Aurora MR and Hornet so far. I actually quite like the Aurora, it looks like a cricket, but I can't deny how much better flying the Hornet feels. Flying on the same level as some people online is out of my reach for now but it's still a blast. The co-op swarm is a tonne of fun too.

Anyway, decided to actually jump in the forums and be a part of the community.
