I wanted to talk about personal item permanency and cost.

Personal Item = Things you carry with you. Suit, Gun, Etc....

I see CIG going one of two ways with this.

1. Items are permanent and good quality items have a super high cost equal to that of ships. While low quality will be almost worthless.

Or

2. Items are not permanent and are destroyed or lost as you play. This route will allow high quality items to be cheap and low quality to hold better value. Downside is more micro management of inventory and people that can't take losing an item.

An example of #2 is you wake up in a hospital gun and armor missing. "I am sorry sir it is against policy for rescue workers to retrieve firearms, and we had to cut your armored suit off you ruining it to treat you. For Id purposes we did save your mobi glass."

I am bringing this up in the questions and answers forum specifically because readers here are more likely to comment with good thought out ideas. I know the devs have not yet decided how this will work.

Please comment on your preferences regarding this question or include any creative ideas of your own.

This does not address cosmetic items nor should it. We are only talking about functional items.
