I'm aware there are probably other threads on this, it's certainly an old topic and probably been done to death, but search is pretty inconclusive for my specific question, so asking here anyway.

I was considering CCU upgrading my trade friendly Aurora LX to something else, I have a bit of store credit, and would be happy to top up the balance with real monies, but wonder if applying said upgrade would lock the ship to my account?

I know that purchasing a ship completely with store credit binds that ship to your account.
I don't know how it applies to upgrades, and i don't know how it applies to partial credit payments.

Anyone have the scoop on this?
