Controls: Saitek X-55 Stick & Throttle assembly.

I have tried to find related posts, but have only found one. It matches my symptoms perfectly.

MY ussue, however, is NOT solved despite trying what the previous tester tried - and continues.

Ever since I installed my Saitek X-55 Rhino setup, I will be playing Arena Commander (Vanduul swarm, single and multiplayer mostly) and as I am working the throttle (usually throttling DOWN), the game will randomly just activate my Ejection sequence! This does not happen every match, but at least once every other match I play. There is no set reproducible conditions, it happens at random times while flying.

This issue did NOT occur when using a very old Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D joystick (Gameport-to-USB adapter version).

System Specifications:
- Windows 7 SP1
- Processor: AMD Phenom II 1090T
- Motherboard: Asus Crosshair IV
- Gfx: Sapphire/AMD Radeon HD 5870 1 GB 256Bit
- Other relevant USB devices: SteelSeries Sensei Mouse, Microsoft Keyboard, Plantronics 655 DSP headset

Map: Usually on Broken Moon, but happens on any, as far as I can tell.

Other Details:
- I am using the default Saitek X-55 control profile, with no modification (currently).
- I have tried deleting my USERS folder. No dice, still happens.
- Rebinding Eject key to a different button made the problem LESS FREQUENT, but it did not go away completely.
- I have ensured that both Throttle and Stick are plugged into USB 3.0 ports.
- The issue occurs whether I am using USB 2.0 --or-- 3.0 ports, both.

Other bugs I am experiencing (but may or may not be related, or may already be reported elsewhere):
- Beginning of match, throttle often gets 'reversed' - this also happens during a match, when Coupling is disabled and I throttle BELOW 50%.
- Randomly take damage to shields in Vanduul Swarm, even when flying in space and not being shot or hitting anything.
- Very rarely, Coupled Flight Mode, Comstab, or G-safe will turn off. This is so rare I cannot reliably reproduce, but I was certain it was NOT due to accidentally toggling the switches (because I've done that too, and know that I did not do so during these instances). Also, no sound effect triggered in the game to tell me they'd been disabled.

I hope I've given enough relevant information. I am a professional computer repair tech, very savvy, and I am willing to try any steps requested, to investigate this matter further. Thanks.

UPDATE:

Sorry, cannot find a way to reply to this thread to update.

Essentially, I wanted to give the "jsx_reserved" trick some thorough testing, before I responded. After trying several combinations, I have discovered that there are definitely some bugs when it comes to the Saitek X-55 HOTAS and Arena Commander.

If the Eject function is programmed onto ANY buttons/switches of the throttle, it will randomly activate. I have not tried to put Eject on the Stick, for obvious reasons.

If I use the "jsx_reserved" trick to remove Eject functionality totally from the HOTAS setup, it does NOT activate unintentionally. This tells me it has to be the HOTAS somehow.

Additionally, now that I no longer have the random Ejection issue, I DO randomly get a problem with the SWITCH CAMERA VIEW randomly activating. I believe this is bound to one of the Throttle base switches (same switch group as the Eject function was before). I will be doing further testing to determine if it's just one of those switches, the whole group, or the whole throttle unit, where these 'ghost' events occur.
