Hey all,

Since starting school this is the first time ive been confident enough in maya to begin work on a ship for SC.
I used to use lightwave v9.0 a while ago and have finally made the jump to the modern era as it were.

As i gain skill in school i will continue to build upon this ship, to get it where i want it to be. As i am majoring in Game Art i will have access to some teachers who have field experience to help me in this, i feel very lucky to have that! But i also want to hear from you all, even if you think it is ****. i want the truth and the criticism so that i may grow as an artist!

Anyway i present my idea for a corvette type ship, and want some feedback as i continue work.

I would love a healthy discussion on this ship, Who do you think it should be designed by? How do you like the aesthetics? What fits an what doesn't?

The Caelus-Class was designed to train new ship captains to better use their ship to the best of its advantages. With a small crew compliment, and high amounts of power output, it has everything a military organisation would need to train both captains and officers. As well as provide opportunities for Power allocation to other ships. The Caelus has the extraordinary ability to transfer power and 'Jump start' another capital class vessel, if power for the other is offline. Allowing it to be a formidable support ship.

However it should be noted that the Caelus is designed as well to be a deep space type of ship. With the power to continue flying for well past original specifications, the ship may operate for weeks on minimum fuel. As well as being able to hold its own in a fight, the Caelus also contains a flight deck that doubles as a cargo area. This flight deck can only service snub-fighters however. It should be noted that a maximum of three P-52 type ships may be able to be outfitted within the ship. However it is recommended that only 2 may be serviced.

Designed by [REDACTED] It features what you would expect, while at the same time easing new Bridge officers into command.
