Ship to Ship Docking!
I think more ships should be able to dock to other smaller ships and travel with them. Much like the Connie/Merlin relationship. Larger ships like the Connie or larger (especially the MerchantMan or the Reclaimer) should be able to have a universal docking bay for small ships. For example let's say I have a Reclaimer, but I (or another friend) also has a small ship like the Merlin or a Xi'an Khartu-Al. They should be able to dock at a universal port on the ship and hang out with us in the larger ship. Then when we need fire support or they just want to go their separate way, they can disembark. This would also add a greater dimension of immersion to more ships that should be large enough to handle this. On this same vein, the Connie's shouldn't be restricted to only allowing Merlins to be docked. I think this is quite logical and would be expected of larger ships where people are spending most of their time in space. It'd be important for many aspects including trade, political meetings, networking, or allowing a person with a short-range ship pay another player for a ride to your next destination.
