I'm a huuuuge newbie when it comes to joysticks. I have been falling in love with space sims and such since I got a better computer in recent years, but I only have really used mouse and keyboard, and played the games casually. I'm wanting to be a little more hardcore, specifically with Star Citizen.

I know when it comes to "training," Star Citizen is going to be different from other space sims, given the more realistic physics in space.

However, I'm pretty terribad at using a joystick for aiming. Flying came pretty natural after a little bit. It's much more easy to maneuver with a joystick than mouse and keyboard. But for the fine art of aiming, I'm having a hell of a time. It's getting frustrating for me (not angry or anything, just a little frustrating) to aim. I know it will come with practice. I'll get better at aiming the more I use the stick and the more I practice. It's not like it's a natural thing you just pick up and are good at.

But I want to eventually be awesome at using a stick in combat, and I was wondering if there were any suggestions to help me get better outside of just constantly playing. Since I'm not too good with it, I probably won't play PvP in Arena Commander for some time, and just constantly play against the drones.

I mean, I can avoid debris, ships, and avoid going out of bounds now even while concentrating on the enemy. In fact, I have no problem keeping enemy ships in front of me. It's just the part of keeping the joystick on the leads.

I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro as well, by the way. I do feel it's a little sensitive on the twist. Perhaps I need to find a way to lower sensitivity as well? Or learn to cope with the sensitivity as is?
