Hail, and well met!

I've been following the development of Star Citizen for a long, long time now (I actually bought my PC specifically to get ready for this game). Despite this, I've tried pretty hard to keep away from the forums and community in an effort to avoid the hype train. Unfortunately, today I made the mistake(was it really?) of watching the Drake Cutlass commercial, and I'm unable to keep away any longer! Next payday, I plan to pledge and get fully involved! I don't suppose anyone has any suggestions for my first starship? Ah, but that is another conversation for another thread...

Video game-wise, I'm a total newbie to the space-sim genre; most of my sci-fi gaming experiences come from 4X strategy and Star Wars games. Mostly, you'll catch me playing as much Guild Wars 2 as my spare time will possibly allow me, as well as whichever RPG or racing title happens to get my attention.
