This Project was started When the TNGS competition started as i wanted to... do something the cool guys did...
by using the original AX type gunship stats given back then by chris roberts i created what you see below.

before i could do anything i had to learn the basics of blender, this is also the reason why updates are far and few between, this model is my 'FIRST' Model, and anything and everything i learn is tested and put on this ship.
I am fully aware that I'm far to late at the party as the TNGS is already gone and over, but why would that stop me from making a ship, so i am posting it here.

here are the TNGS specs i used when i started out.


Structural-
Crew: 1 pilot, 2 gunners, 4-6 marines
Cargo – 15 tonnes
Thrusters – 4 xTR2 (jointed)
Cargo Capacity – 15 tonnes (to be used for cargo or troops)
Upgrade Space – 10 slots
Max Power Plant Size – 5
Max Shield – 5

Hard-points-
1 Class 4 (pilot’s controlled turret – two class 1 mounts, size 3)
2 Class 3 (2 missile racks)
2 Class 5 (two manned turrets)

Notes from the Chairman-

Thrusters are jointed – top front left, top front right, bottom front left, bottom front right, combines with the back thrusters to create a 8x thruster array, so back 4 engines double as top back left, top back right, bottom back left and bottom back right – obviously when they are firing at a level to balance against the front thrusters. It will also be important that the front and back set of thrusters balance each other in terms of distance from center of mass – or another way to think of it would be if the front thrusters which have a smaller thrust could be further away from the center of the mass than the rear engines so that the resulting torque created (for angular rotation) by thrusting on the front thrusters would balance with the main engines / rear thrusters for when they fire in unison to impart angular acceleration.

Gunship won’t be too maneuverable as the thruster array rotation speed won’t be super-fast, so it’s ability to maneuver quickly will be curtailed as the thrusters will take a few beats to deploy to the correct firing position.

Cargo: 20 tonnes
Thrusters: 4 xTR2 (jointed)
Cargo Capacity: max 20 tonnes (to be used for Bombs and torpedos)
Max Power Plant Size: 5

-1 Class 4 (pilot’s controlled turret – two class 1 mounts, size 3)

-Medium sized Armored transport (infantry and/or equipment)

Thrusters: 4 xTR2 (jointed)
Cargo Capacity: max 25 tonnes (to be used for cargo or troops (module Dependant))

i currently have 4 types of the same chassis planned, each having its own specific role, but having great similarities across the board.
