I have had the Rift for at least 5 weeks now. It has been a whole new level for me.

I have played with all the important demos, lunar lander, tf2, blue marble demo.

Last night I spent 5 hours playing War Thunder and after this post I will be climbing back into my spitfire mkII, and taking to the multiplayer skys with great imersion, I am expecting my warthog hotas to arrive to work tommorow to help me get practise in for Star Citizen dog fighting.

As you can tell I am motivated by virtual reality and when you try one on you will be motivated as well.
For me, It is the most impressive gaming experience of my life.

I have been in my hanger with the rift via S.C.O.R.E non offical SC enabler.

I am very happy so far, but find there is some thing even more interesting than the Rift on the horizon, its called a Avegant Virtual Retinal Display.

Ok couple of thoughts about this, and I do applogise but I will focus this to the rift members here.



Look at these important bullet points vs (over..) a HD Rift.


- No door or window affect.
- 240fps, very high refresh rate.
- Tireless on the eyes.
- Geared towards movies, and "gaming".
- Rich good colour.
- Works naturally via reflective light.


Also due to the way that VR works the low resolution does not matter and it appears as if you are looking at a 4k screen he says.


Please can I ask to fellow members, or staff at Star Citizen can you PLEASE go to the below show and demo this unit.

I live in London Uk so i cant go but I really would like a fellow rifter or Star Citizen fan to fairly and independantly put one of these on and give some feedback.

There is PLENTY of room in the market for both the hd rift and these units ,so its not a matter of which will be the one.

Also I will be sending an email to Avegant to ask them to monitor this thread and give any one that goes to the show at least a soild 5 minutes.


Can some one that gives a hoot about Chris and his dream about star citizen a pointer to this equipment.
